Hello. My name is Knelson Oliva. I want to share what God has done in my life. As from a small child, I was an unbeliever of God. As I grew, I formed a family. I have two sons, one daughter, and my wife. I was raised to follow the Seventh Day Adventist religion and I took my wife there after we married (she came from a Catholic family). But, I eventually stopped going to the Seventh Day Adventist church because it was empty and it didn’t help me to experience God.
After that, I knew some persons which offered me a job. My boss family were believers of God. They always talked to me about how God has been with them, but I never paid any attention because I thought it was just coincidences. Sometimes I used to hear my boss lady praying in tongues out in the yard when she was on her own. She didn’t know I was there and that I could hear her. I didn’t know what she was saying, but I was curious.
After working for my boss family for many years, they left Belize. But, they came back on a trip and I saw them again. They talked to me again about the Bible and their experiences with God. This time I was ready to get baptized because I was tired of some struggles I was having in my life. They told me that by making the decision to get baptized to Jesus, I would receive the Holy Spirit.
They baptized me in their pool and they told me to start praising God when I came up out of the water. As I was praising God, I felt a feeling growing in my stomach and rising up. Suddenly I just began saying new words which I didn’t understand, but it felt very good to be speaking that way. They told me I had received the Holy Spirit! The next day, they filmed my story. I felt very good and good things started to happen straight away including a more peaceful relationship with my wife.
Since then I have seen miracles which God has made in my life and how he works and uses others to make me see that by having faith, nothing is going to bring me down. Instead, God is there stretching his hand to lift me up. Today is the day to realize that God is the only one in whom we should trust and he will be with us always no matter what we are facing, so we never lose our faith in him. May God bless you.
